Naturopath Natalie Pickering talks about the importance of age appropriate foods to the digestive system development of children:
As a
consulting Naturopath specializing in fertility, pregnancy, infants’ and children’s health, the idea of easily accessed orchard-grown and organic home-cooked, and most importantly, age-appropriate baby foods is very exciting.
In my experience the infants and children who have been introduced to home-cooked foods at the correct stages of their development tend to experience less sleep, mood and behaviour disturbances. They tend to have fewer allergies and less frequent infections as well as significantly less digestive disorders both in infancy and childhood and on to teens and adulthood.
One of the significant aspects of Wholesome Baby is that the fruit and vegetables are steamed rather than boiled, thereby reducing the loss of nutrients and avoiding the addition of unnecessary water to the finished product. Steaming maintains a nutritionally dense product with significantly less filler which makes great financial sense for parents.
